What is Argotario

Argotario is a purely research-oriented application, so-called game with a purpose. We are mainly interested in how people argue and how they use fallacious argumentation on daily basis.

Argotario has been developed by Raffael Hannemann, Christian Pollak, Christopher Klamm, Patrick Pauli, Ivan Habernal and by the argumentation research team at the Ubiquitous Processing Lab at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany.

We do not collect any private information apart from your nickname and e-mail address (which is optional but required if you want to participate in Player of the week competition). No sensitive data will be provided to any third party.

To ensure that the arguments written while playing the game can be used freely for research purposes, players agree that their texts are licensed under Creative Commons Zero ("Public Domain") license.

If you have any questions, suggestions, bug reports, etc., visit our discussion forum or contact directly Ivan Habernal.
